Want the mag to visit your place?

You might have noticed we launched a new section in issue 25 called ‘invite [R]evo to your place’? Basically, we’re constantly inundated with requests to cover random tracks and riding spots around the country and so we thought we’d dedicate a few pages each issue to do just that! If you or your mates have a ’spot’ that you’d like us to come out and feature, let us know. It doesn’t have to be a pumptrack, it can be anything from a trail out in the bush to some jump you built in a field or even your local street riding spot. Whatever really. Shoot us blurb about your ’spot’ to jt@revolutionmtb.com.au and might very well come and pay you a visit one day soon!

Rowney has beef

You hear Rowney and Rando hate each other? Evidently they are planing to settle their beef with head to head combat at each round of the National Super-D races this summer? Will Jared’s italian heritage stamina be enough to hold off Rowney’s veteran experience on a 15-20 endo downhill? Everyone here at [R]evo HQ is pumped on the addition of Super-D to the Nationals calendar and you can expect to check out a heap of behind the scenes coverage from the races in the mag. Here’s a few recent shots of Paul out training on the new Yeti SB-66 as he prepares to kick Rando’s arse! (*Ed’s note: Jared and Paul do not hate each other at all, we made that bit up. However, they are both set to race some Super-D’s this summer!)

Jacobs latest mega creation

A car full of camera gear and bikes, on the road again…

Jacobs and his team had to pull some serious hours in the weeks leading beforehand to ensure Copper Head was ready and dialled for opening weekend. The boys hard yards sure didn’t fail to impress as the entire track was super prime! Buller is a unique resort in that the village is perched up on top of the mountain rather than at it’s base. This makes the air a little, thin but the views truly spectacular…

Jacobs warned us to take it a easy out on the trails as Copper Head has the potential to really bite… and bite me it did!

Behind the scenes of a late night photoshoot with the man himself, Glen Jacobs. Tune into issue 26 for a full write up and some money shots!

Yeti SB-66

Not since the millennium bug (fail!) has something been so widely hyped than the release of the Yeti SB-66. Just before last deadline we got our hands on one for a couple of weeks and yes, we admit it, the thing is pretty god damn special! With only 3 mag pages set aside for its review we were never gunna’ be able to show all the banger pics we snapped during it’s stay, and so heres a selection that didn’t make the selection.
