20 Years of blood, sweat and yeeooows!

This is what 20 years of [R]evo Mag looks like! Two decades of my life at the helm of the ship, it blows my mind to sit here and write that. Against all odds we’ve managed to spend the past 20 years of producing the most kick ass mountain biking magazine we possibly could just to share it all with you, our beloved reader.

Way back in 2004 when Holmesy and I launched the magazine I could never have envisaged the success that [R]evo would go on to become and massive following that the mag would attract. To date we’ve sold well over 1,000,000 hardcopies of the mag across 73 issues. Holy shit, right! And you know what blows my mind even more? The fact that there are more than a handful of diehard loyal [R] fans that have never missed a single copy since issue 1. That is humbling I genuinely can’t even begin to describe it… Thank you [R] family!

Personally, it has been such an epic journey, and such a privilege, getting to produce the mag throughout the years alongside such a talented team. As I sit here reflecting on the past it fills me with so much excitement to know that the mag’s future is still so bright given that the hardcopy mag currently has over ten thousand subscribers alone and nearly double that number of riders source the mag each issue from newsstands and dealers across Aus and NZ each and every issue. We’re looking forward to continuing to up the ante with [R] and [E] mags, filled with MTB stoke, for many more years to come!

To commemorate this milestone edition of the mag we wanted to put something special together, so we’ve gone deep and created a massive timeline feature showcasing some of the most iconic covers and articles that we’ve run over the past two decades. And I tell ‘ya what, the nostalgia sure has been flowing strong as I pulled out all 73 editions of the mag, going for a wander down memory lane as we flicked through their pages, selecting articles to showcase in the feature.

This special issue is available here and I truly hope you enjoy checking it out as much as we enjoyed piecing it all together.

I’ve got so much gratitude for everyone that’s been a part of the mag since we launched way back in 2004; Every rider that we’ve featured across our pages.

Every creative that has contributed images and words that have formed the epic landscape of each mag. All of the brands and individuals that have supported us and made it all possible. And of course, to everyone that has ever picked up a copy of the mag and then been inspired to ride their bike!

Thanks to you all from the bottom of my heart.
