Eliot Jackson // Racism and the riding community

June 4, 2020

The world is a crazy place right now. Just hard to comprehend the actions of so many, and the reality all too many face on a daily basis.

Elliot Jackson’s words, his lived experiences and his daily reality put us all on notice. It’s time to listen. Time to learn. Time to show real change.

Full vid. This is for the cycling community. I’m exhausted and there have been so many times over the last few days where I have been ashamed to be a part of this community. I’m exhausted by the fact that I have had to fight for things that should be common place. . I am exhausted by the fact that someone will watch this video and think that I don’t care about equality for ALL people and that ALL people deserve a seat at the table. I am exhausted by the fact that I am the only one here. Beyond that. I am exhausted by the fact that when this is over I will still deal with racism on a daily/weekly basis and people will continue to tell me it doesn’t exist.
