Santa Cruz launch 7th Gen Nomad!

Often dubbed ‘a party on 2 wheels’ the legendary Santa Cruz Nomad has been a fan favourite the world over, and now the brand is upping the ante with an all-new 7th generation of this iconic trail ripper.

Ticking all the boxes the new Nomad comes out swinging with 170mm of travel at each end, mullet / MX wheels, a full carbon frame (only offered in a single CC layup option for the time being) as well as tailored suspension kinematics via the bike’s refined VPP linkage and absolutely dialled frame geometry from head to toe (check out the geo chart down below).

The new Nomad also features a host of other significant performance updates over the previous model, including increased frame compliance, improved frame storage/glove box design, and a heap of weight savings.

Here in Oz the Nomad will be offered in 5 different spec builds (all boasting the same premium level carbon frame) and the lightest version tips the scales at 15.3kgs. Pricing for the complete builds is set to launch at $7699 (Aussie) and head north from there.

Santa Cruz have always catered their bikes to the widest rider range possible offering a ton of frame sizing options, and the new Nomad carries on that theme with sizing options from XS all the way up to XXL available for customers world wide. Another dope feature of the new model is that the frame stiffness, and compliance, has actually been tailored specifically for each frame size to ensure the same intended ride quality for riders of all body shapes and sizes. Furthermore, each frame size also gets a size-specific rear triangle to further ensure identical ride characteristics can be offered to all riders regardless of which frame size they opt for. Rad, eh!?

And finally, as with all Santa Cruz frames, the new Nomad carries a full lifetime warranty which covers the frame, pivot bearings, and even the Reserve carbon rims (if you select a model that comes with carbon hoops).
