Crankworx Cairns is throwing a Party in Paradise and everyone is invited! Over five huge days, send Crankworx into overdrive at Smithfield Mountain Bike Park for the party of the year! The sun will be shining, the vibes will be high and the music will be epic, with massive musical performances from Aussie artists including Spiderbait!
Jointly funded by the Australian and Queensland governments under the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements, Party in Paradise is set to unite riders, enthusiasts, and locals for an unmissable experience.

Party In Paradise will see a variety of new and exciting activities added to the Crankworx Cairns program, including:
- Live Music onsite at Smithfield every day from Thursday to Sunday, hosted on the new Paradise Stage.
- The Mountain Bike Jam Session will see a contingent of elite riders take to the Cairns Skatepark
- Sunset Cinema: Movie Night in Paradise
- The first ever Crankworx Cairns Braap Off
- Pump Track After Dark
- Whip Off – now included in Super Saturday scheduling
Party In Paradise – Live Music
Party In Paradise – Live MusicSpectators will be able to rock alongside the mountain biking action, as the Party in Paradise welcomes an extraordinary lineup of Australia’s best rock bands. Being delivered in partnership with Queensland Music Festival (QMF), the music event will see an array of bands take to the Paradise Stage onsite at Smithfield, culminating with iconic Aussie rockers Spiderbait who are set to ignite the stage on Sunday, 26 May.
Spectator ticket pricing is unchanged – delivering great value to check out the worlds best freeride mountain bikers alongside some of your favourite bands.

- Thursday 23rd May – 11am to 3:30pm
- Will see a number of local acts and DJ’s take to the stage in the lead up to an action packed Specialized Dual Slalom Final at 4pm.
- Friday 24th May – 5:30pm to 8:00pm
- The unofficial Downhill afterparty will see Worm Girlz and Beddy Rays rock the Smithfield stage.
- Saturday 25th May – 3pm to 5:30pm
- Super Saturday will see two local acts keep the party vibes high in between the Speed and Style and Pump Track Finals. The DJ will be pumping to carry through the round of 32 and into the first event Pump Track after dark.
- Sunday 26th May – 1:30pm to 7:30pm
- The after party is set to start straight after the Slopestyle finals with live music set to start straight after the presentations. Set from Late November will pump through the afternoon, with Spiderbait set to bring Crankworx Cairns home.

This invitational-only event invites the best freestyle Mountain Bike riders to showcase their skills in the heart of Cairns Esplanade’s Urban Skate Bike Park. Under the vibrant lights and with the pulsating beats from the Redbull DJ, competitors will battle it out to perform the tricks that bring the biggest STOKE to the crowd.

impressive brap moves, and send dust clouds flying as they race to impress the crowd.
