Another great day for the Aussie’s! This ones awesome.
Leading into the week, it was said that the Canadian Open coursed suited the Australian style of loose, dusty corners full of rocks. Today, we were proved right.
Canberra phenom Kye Ahern not only won the 15-16 age group, but his time would have won the Junior men category along with putting him into 15th place in elite men, infront of plenty of World Cup top dogs. If you haven’t heard of Kye before then you better be watching out for his name come next year.
Tracey Hannah charged towards a comfortable win over Vaea Verbeek and Emilie Siegenthaler.
Troy Brosnan continued his form here from the last few seasons to take his third straight Canadian Open title – something only Stevie Smith has done before. A legendary effort from the still young Aussie.
