Matt Hunter is constantly evolving, but his vision for mountain biking has always remained true.
For many people, mountain biking is a migratory sport. Once you get a taste for the trails, moving closer to ride every day is a no brainer for those who choose the lifestyle. For Matt Hunter, migration was never necessary. He grew up in Kamloops BC, where the surrounding landscape was an ever-present inspiration for his own riding. A child of the BC outdoors, Matt’s idea of a good day is any day he gets to ride his bike. Chill rides with the fam or power trains on The Farm, This is Home.
Matt and the Anthill crew’s lives have been intertwined for almost 20 years. We’ve shared career defining moments, creative visions and values, and many, many beers around backcountry fires. But mostly we’ve shared a lot of laughs. From our first days working together on the Collective to his son Robbie’s 7th birthday, hanging with Hunter is always a good time.
Through all this, we’ve witnessed his evolution into an incredible athlete, mountain bike visionary and family man. So we’re are beyond excited to share our latest short film – “Matt Hunter, This is Home.” Thanks to our friends at Shimano for making this film come to life. Enjoy!
