Building trails is the domain of a select few of those in the MTB world. Building the behemoth line that is Trolldom was for an insanely dedicated group of individuals that could handle the vision, the hardship and the best of times that only a project like this can bring.
Go behind the scenes for an incredible insight into what is by far the heaviest line built, possibly ever and those that chose to continue the evolution of freeride. If you haven’t seen the heaviest of heavy freeride edits, you can check it now here.
It’s through the process of doing these projects that the unplanned magic happens. You have to follow the journey, and the outcome will follow one way or another. The period of making TROLLDOM, our first project in Canada, was truly special. It’s crazy what the vision has now become. Lines like the ender in TROLLDOM, that we ended up calling Behemoth, are truly a dream line that I couldn’t even imagine before actually experiencing this terrain in real life. For years back in Norway, we’ve built BC inspired Northshores, but always felt like we’d cram in the features with the terrain we had. My imagination explodes seeing the terrain in Canada, and I finally feel I can give my ideas the space they deserve – give the builds justice and work with the terrain, not against it. When Steve showed me his zone, my mind really started going on what could be possible to build out here. So many crazy moments – splitting my first cedar planks, working with massive natural slabs, camping out for days – it was endless!! Massive shoutout to the entire BC crew, this project would never have happened without the friendly, dedicated people out there. I made friends and memories for life, and feel like this is just the beginning of our Canadian journey. Ride the snake through our journey of TROLLDOM.”
