Practice at MTBA’s Gravity Enduro National Championships kicked off today with over 200 riders entered.
Fox Creek, up in the Adelaide Hills has been evolving to meet the demands of both the new gen of riders and what modern day trail bikes are capable of, with both old favourites and new sections making up the eight timed sections. With some seriously challenging terrain that has already claimed a few casualties in both bikes and people, the racing is going to be tight.
Highlights have to be Muppets whose new additions will test even the most seasoned riders with its natural haggardness and off camber followed by some steep as hell turns to drop you to the finish… Both Long and Fast tracks remain untouched and the state dh champs track brings some serious jumps to Aus enduro!
Saturday sees practice followed by the first 4 stages with the Trailscapes Dual Slalom at 4:30. With the village already rocking around the Anderson Winery, and more bluebird weather predicted, it’s a very big weekend ahead. See you at Fox Creek for Day one racing!
