The fifth round of the Enduro World Series threw everything it could at the riders.
Huge stages, weather induced schedule changes and some of the rowdiest trails of the season. It was the third time the series had visited La Thuile, high in the Italian Alps, and this was definitely its most dramatic outing yet in a race that proved there’s not many that can keep up with Sam Hill!
Martin Maes came close, with Eddie Masters stomping 3rd place with an epic ride. Josh Carlson made some good time with a solid 25th and our favourite shredder Dave Mcmillan decided to drop in for a casual 68th place in his first EWS outing. In the women’s, Cecile Ravanel took top honours by over a minute and a half from Isabeau Courdurier with Ines Thoma in third. Lone Aussie female Leonie Picton placed in a solid 17th place.
