Falls Creek to open the first round of MTBA’s Gravity Enduro Series this weekend

Mountain Bike Australia in conjunction with Falls Creek Resort Management are pleased to present Round One of the 2017 Gravity Enduro National Series on Sunday, 23rd April. Set in the brilliant surrounds of the Alpine National Park, riders take to the purpose build single track trails of Falls Creek MTB Park in a four stage gravity enduro bash.

Stage 1 will see riders take on High Voltage and Wishing Well before hitting Flowtown down to Howman’s Gap for stage 2. The tough part of the Enduro format is the liaison stages that all riders have to ride to the next stage. Stage 3 sees the most challenging part of the race on Thunderbolt before the home stretch down Generator and Vortex with a surprise jump finish into Slalom Plaza.

‘This is a great way to end the mountain bike season at Falls Creek. The resort has seen unprecedented visitation since November with mountain bike riders of all abilities experiencing the trails.’

Riders will be able to practice on Friday, 21st and Saturday, 22nd to familiarise themselves with the race trails.

Blue Dirt will run shuttles on Friday from 11am – 6pm and on the Saturday shuttles will run normal time 9am – 4pm.

Cost is $50 per day or $90 for 2 days.

There are plenty of spectator opportunities along the course to cheer on the riders.
